DC Reto

DcretosincoversmOn a missions trip last year to Bolivia our team discovered a great Latin band - DC Reto. Well this morning I was updating my ipod and needed to get some song names and artwork for cd that was given to me in Bolivia. So here is a little help for those of you FYM folk who need some artwork, or song names. I did get three names correct, and am wondering if I should join the Latin music industry? Here is a link to buy your own DC Reto CD and it is well worth it. This is some of the best up tempo music you will get your hands on......

But for all you FYM'ers that never knew the song tracks here is your chance to have names other than track 1 and track 2.

1. Hands Up! (Manos Pararriba)
2. Sin Vergnenza
3. Todos Los Guerreros
4. Esposa Mía
5. Bulla!!!
6. Are You Ready? (Estás Listo?)
7. Vuela
8. Vida
9. Pa Los Niños
10. Yo Te Quiero
11. La Prostituta

C.O.P.S.

Img_0035_2While I was in Ohio I ran into a good friend of mine from college. He drove up to have lunch with me one of the days. Ryan is a police officer, and is loving his job. I think Ryan is a perfect example of what I wanted our students to be some day. Ministers. Ryan is a police officer on a mission from God. I loved hearing him talk about his job, and tell me a few stories. He has not shot anyone yet, or ran into a burning building, but has given out a few tickets. Everyone should view thier job like Ryan does.... A opportunity to minister.

Skyline

Skyline
When I was at CBC a lot of friends from Ohio talked about Skyline chili. Today I got my first taste and it was good!!! It is a little weird eating chili on spaghetti but tasty. I was able to enjoy it with Josh and a new friend Brad Rosenberg. Brad is off the hook. I loved his spirit and innovation. So glad we were able to connect. We
will probably see him someday in Greece.

Ty_cbassI have a new nephew!!!! Ty was born in Tulsa last night. Tim and Liz are really excited!! I am a uncle all over again, and I can't wait to meet him.....

Christian Life Assembly

It was so great to be back in our home church  this past weekend.  It has felt as if months and months have passed.  Traveling all the time makes time go quickly and slow all at once.  I ran into several people who continue to inspire me as I take our journey into the unknown.  One family in particular has felt this same passion for missions, and over the past few months are taking steps to go towards the field.  I had the opportunity to be on a mission trip with Fred in Indonesia over a year ago, and he has a heart of gold.  I am exited for what God has in store for their family.  I know that one day in Greece I will get an email about their new living location in _____________ (put forign country here)…..

Ham Loaf and other interesting things.....

HamloafThis past week has been a interesting series of events. I think one of my favorites would be hanging out with “forever young” on Tuesday night. I was always jealous of their dinners on those Tuesday nights. The gym would be closed for j-jam, and the aroma of food would fill the breezeway. The crown jewel of all dinners would be the Ham Loaf. I had never heard of Ham Loaf until I moved to PA, but boy is it tasty. So Tuesday was the first dinner I attended, and I happened to be the speaker….. It was delightful, and they are a such a blessing. Pastor Tom does such a great leadership job with them as well. I am looking forward to sharing at CLA this Sunday!!!

Jennifer Garner in NYC

Dscn2856Last Night Jamie and I had a little date night to New York City to watch the play Cryano De Bergerac. It was a great play and Jamie was able to meet one of her favorite movie stars Jennifer Garner. It is a great story and you should read it on Jamie's Blog. I snapped the pictures while Jamie took the pose and got an autograph. I was so impressed with how great of a person that she is in real life!!!

I think I'll buy his CD someday....

Ben_jonesI apologize that I have been so bad at blogging this past week. I have been on the Fall Tour and have had several services. I was at Bethel in Chambersburg on Wed night, Orchard Springs on Thursday, Christian Life in Chambersburg on Friday, New Life in Grantville on Sunday Night, and Millersburg tonight. I have met a ton of great people and have enoyed this busy time. Josh Fowler is the youth pastor at Bethel in Chambersburg and has put together a tremendous worship team. The lead singer Ben plans to be a worship leader someday. I plan to buy his cd someday. He did a great version of "Take, Take, Take it all".... It reminded me of the Trinidad VBS after party....

I wonder how many people I run into this year will have a large voice into peoples lives? It is why I feel compelled to challenge everyone about the dark places.

I wish Ben Jones the best, and hope to see him succeed in life!!!
